Expertise

Nicki is a former New Zealand Police Constable, having attained all Sergeants qualifications. She has extensive enquiry and operational experience, both in the field and in administrative support roles.

Experience

Nicki joined the New Zealand Police in 1994, graduating 3rd overall in her Wing. She served 12 years as a Police Constable, the last five years assigned to the Air Support Unit (Eagle).

While on Eagle, Nicki controlled many high speed pursuits, and was involved in numerous  operations, both locally and throughout New Zealand. Some of these involved armed offenders, drug seizures, surveillance, diplomatic protection, and search and rescue.

Prior to Eagle, Nicki was appointed the Crime Data Analyst for the Auckland Area Commander, where her attention to detail, collating and analysing data, report preparation, eye for discrepancies, and other investigative skills were well utilised.

Throughout her Police career, Nicki has attended a wide variety of training courses, and has herself, aided in the training of junior Police members. She worked four years in various frontline policing roles, as well as two years assigned to the Team Policing Unit.

During this time, Nicki excelled in her enquiry work and was often seconded to the Auckland Combined Investigation Unit to assist with homicides and major investigations.

Since resigning from the Police, Nicki has worked as a private investigator involved in numerous commercial operations, as well as surveillance, security and personal protection. Many of these investigations have resulted in successfully identifying offenders and the preparation of comprehensive Police prosecution files.
