Final Farewell For Lee Sheppard
On Saturday 9 April over 150 people gathered at Matakohe Memorial Hall to say farewell to Lee Sheppard who died in a tragic industrial accident in London on 31 January 2003.
Lee's disappearance remained a mystery until Ron McQuilter went to London in November 2008 and established Lee had died at work and the Police had failed in their investigation at the time.
A jury at Barnet Coroners Court in February 2011 confirmed the findings and eventually after 8 long years of suffering his spirit was laid to rest in the family plot and with the blessing of his wife, son, family and loved friends.
