Meta Data Evidence

Document Metadata

Microsoft Word documents contain a wealth of hidden information called Metadata.  Simply put, Metadata is data about data.  The purpose of the hidden data is to enhance viewing, filing and retrieval of documents by the Microsoft suite of products.

One of our clients recently requested a forensic examination of documents being produced in a Civil Case.  Our computer forensic examiner was able to establish the exact date and time the files were created, who last edited the documents, and when they were last printed.

This examination was able to support the authenticity of the documents being presented by our client, whilst at the same time creating a large credibility issue for the other party.

Client Testimonials

“If it was not for the great work of your team those thieves would have sent me broke. A BIG thanks.”
