A salesman at one of the country's biggest importers and distributors of music equipment allegedly took hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gear for his own sideline music hire and events businesses - organising gigs and events for customers said to include Dave Dobbyn and Prime Minister John Key.

Josiah Kuek appeared in court last month facing 12 counts of theft from his employer, South Pacific Music, between June 2008 and February this year.

More than a 1000 items of equipment, with an estimated value of more than $300,000, were recovered in Auckland by Paragon Investigators . more...
